tomdunn@gearyvaughan.com

Mr. Dunn has over 35 years of operating management and business ownership experience in a variety of industries.  He has held senior level positions in both the private and public sector.  He was President and Treasurer of a national interactive computing company, President and Treasurer of a major mechanical contracting company, and has held senior management positions with a national accounting firm.  Mr. Dunn has owned and operated several small businesses, which he successfully turned around.

In 1977, he was a founding partner of Siegel, Dunn & Geary Inc., one of New England’s original turnaround consulting firms.  During an era where the role of a consultant was limited to advice, Siegel Dunn & Geary recognized that the problems often lay at the top of the organization.  S,D &G quickly realized that changes at the top meant they needed to be hands on and often implemented necessary changes themselves taking over from company owners who sometimes lacked the ability to swiftly turn things around.  Mr. Dunn has spent his business career focusing on small companies and helping them grow, thrive and succeed, particularly during troubled times.  Mr. Dunn is the developer of “O2 R3”, a unique survey technique created by him which enables us to evaluate a business and quickly determine the real problems within a company.  Many times these problems are different than what the client may have perceived.

Mr. Dunn is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.B.A. from Northeastern University.  He is the past Editor of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants CPA Review magazine.
